In the 6th match of the ICC Women’s World Cup Qualifier held in Lahore on April 13, 2025, Scotland Women showcased an all-round performance to beat Thailand Women by 58 runs.
Batting first, Scotland Women posted a competitive total of 206 runs. Kathryn Bryce led from the front, scoring a gritty 60 off 58 balls, while Megan McColl chipped in with a crucial 57 off 65 deliveries. Despite losing early wickets, partnerships through the middle helped Scotland stabilize and reach a defendable score.
Thailand’s bowling was spearheaded by Nattaya Boochatham and Thipatcha Putthawong, both picking up 2 wickets each, while Chanida Sutthiruang and Suleeporn Laomi also contributed with economical spells.
In reply, Thailand Women struggled to chase the target and were bowled out for 148 in 31.3 overs. Despite a fighting 63-run knock from Nattakan Chantham, no other batter managed to anchor the innings. Scotland’s bowling attack, led by Katherine Fraser (3/28)—who was named Player of the Match—and Rachel Slater (3/19), consistently struck at key moments to dismantle the Thai batting lineup.
