What looked like a sure-shot win for Rajasthan Royals turned into a nail-biter, thanks to Mitchell Starc’s brilliant final over under pressure. Needing just 9 runs with 6 wickets in hand, RR collapsed dramatically in the last over as Starc delivered five deadly yorkers, leaving Dhruv Jurel unable to score 2 off the final ball – pushing the match into a Super Over.
In the Super Over, RR completely lost their nerve, losing both Riyan Parag and Yashasvi Jaiswal to run outs within five balls. Delhi Capitals, chasing 12, made it look easy. Tristan Stubbs, the hero of the night, smashed a six off Sandeep Sharma to finish the chase in just four deliveries.
Stubbs was outstanding throughout – scoring 34* off 18 balls in the main innings, powering DC to 42 runs in the last 3 overs and setting up the Super Over heroics.
