Multan Sultans Defeat Lahore Qalandars by 33 Runs as Yasir & Ubaid Shine

Multan Sultans registered their first win of PSL 10 with a convincing 33-run victory over Lahore Qalandars at the Multan Cricket Stadium. Opting to bat first after winning the toss, Multan’s batting lineup delivered a powerful performance, amassing 228 for 5 in 20 overs. Yasir Khan led the charge with a blistering knock of 87 off just 44 deliveries, smashing six fours and six sixes. He was well supported by Mohammad Rizwan, who added 32 off 17 balls, and Usman Khan, who scored a quick 39 off 24.

After a strong 89-run opening stand between Rizwan and Yasir, the middle order capitalized well, with Iftikhar Ahmed playing a fiery cameo of 40 off just 18 balls to take the Sultans beyond the 220 mark.

In reply, Lahore Qalandars fell short despite valiant efforts from Sikandar Raza, who remained unbeaten on 50 off 27 balls, and Sam Billings, who chipped in with 43 off 23. The Qalandars started brightly with a 38-run opening partnership, but quick strikes from Multan’s bowlers turned the game. Ubaid Shah was the pick of the bowlers, claiming 3 wickets for 37 runs. Michael Bracewell and Usama Mir took two wickets each, while David Willey and Josh Little chipped in with one apiece.

Despite the fireworks from Raza and Billings, Lahore ended at 195/9 in their 20 overs, handing Multan a much-needed win. The victory not only broke the Sultans’ losing streak but also reignited their campaign in PSL 10 with a statement performance.
