In an exciting clash of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) 2025, Lahore Qalandars defeated Multan Sultans by 5 wickets with 6 balls remaining at Gaddafi Stadium, Lahore, on April 26, 2025. Chasing a target of 186 runs, Lahore Qalandars displayed excellent teamwork and strong batting performances to secure a memorable win.

Multan Sultans, after being put into bat, posted 185/3 in their 20 overs. Mohammad Rizwan led the innings with a brilliant 76* off 48 balls, showcasing his class with 6 fours and 3 sixes. Kamran Ghulam also played a vital knock of 52 runs from 31 balls, while Yasir Khan contributed 24 runs at the top. Despite a solid batting display, Lahore Qalandars’ bowlers kept things tight at critical moments. Shaheen Shah Afridi, Tom Curran, and Haris Rauf picked up one wicket each to restrict the Sultans under 190.

Chasing 186, Lahore Qalandars started positively with Fakhar Zaman scoring 28 runs. Abdullah Shafique played a quick 34-run knock to maintain the momentum. The star of the innings was Daryl Mitchell, who scored an explosive 64 runs off 38 balls with 6 fours and 4 sixes. Sikandar Raza remained unbeaten on 40* off just 21 balls, finishing the game in style alongside Asif Ali who was not out on 1*. The Qalandars chased down the target in just 19 overs, displaying dominance and composure under pressure.

For Multan Sultans, Mohammad Hasnain was the most successful bowler with figures of 2 for 30. Ubaid Shah and Akif Javed managed to pick up one wicket each but could not prevent the inevitable.

With this emphatic win, Lahore Qalandars added two crucial points to their tally and sent a strong message to the rest of the teams in PSL 2025.
