In a disciplinary move, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has imposed a 100% match fee fine on Kingsmen captain Hammad Azam for his inappropriate behavior during a Grade-II tournament match.
The incident occurred during a game against Winning Triple Nine Sports, where Hammad Azam lost his temper after being declared out. According to sources, his misconduct extended beyond the field umpires as he also misbehaved with the match referee.
Umpires Rafiq Ahmed and Abdul Kareem submitted an official complaint to match referee Ali Gohar, who then summoned Hammad Azam and the Kingsmen team manager for a hearing. During the meeting, Hammad reportedly continued his aggressive conduct, leading the match referee to penalize him with a 100% match fee fine.
The PCB’s decision underscores its commitment to maintaining discipline and respect for match officials across all domestic competitions.
