After being put into bat by Multan Sultans, Islamabad United posted a massive total of 202/6 in their allotted 20 overs. The top order laid a solid foundation, with Sahibzada Farhan scoring 53 off 35 balls and Colin Munro smashing 48 off 25. Contributions from Haider Ali (33 off 16) and a fiery 32 off 14 balls* from Jason Holder helped boost the total to over 200. Multan’s bowling was led by Chris Jordan and Mohammad Hasnain, both picking up two wickets each.
Sultans Struggle in Run Chase
Chasing 203, Multan Sultans never looked in control as they lost wickets at regular intervals. Captain Mohammad Rizwan top-scored with 38 runs, and Usman Khan added 31, but the rest of the lineup faltered under pressure. Multan was eventually bowled out for 155 in 18.4 overs.
