Multan Sultans delivered an impressive batting performance against Lahore Qalandars in the 16th match of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) 2025, held at Gaddafi Stadium, Lahore. Batting first after losing the toss, Multan Sultans posted a strong total of 185 runs for the loss of 3 wickets in 20 overs.
Mohammad Rizwan led from the front, anchoring the innings with a superb unbeaten knock of 76 runs off 48 balls. His innings featured six boundaries and three sixes, maintaining a striking rate of 158.33. Yasir Khan supported the start with a quick 24 runs off 18 deliveries before falling to Haris Rauf. Usman Khan added 18 runs, while Kamran Ghulam accelerated towards the end, smashing an unbeaten 52 runs from just 31 balls, including five fours and two sixes.
The Lahore Qalandars bowlers faced a tough outing. Tom Curran, Haris Rauf, and Daryl Mitchell took one wicket each but struggled to control the run rate. Shaheen Shah Afridi bowled tightly, conceding only 25 runs in his 4 overs, but remained wicketless. Sikandar Raza also kept things economical but could not break through Multan’s strong batting display.
The fall of wickets was as follows: Yasir Khan at 30/1, Usman Khan at 51/2, and Shai Hope at 70/3. After that, Mohammad Rizwan and Kamran Ghulam built an unbeaten partnership that guided Multan Sultans to a commanding total.
