In a thrilling encounter at Lahore, Pakistan Women chased down a target of 187 runs to secure a commanding 6-wicket victory over Scotland Women with 8 balls to spare in the 4th Match of the ICC Women’s World Cup Qualifier.
Scotland, batting first, posted 186/9 in 32 overs, powered by a brilliant 91 (117) from Kathryn Bryce. However, regular wickets and tight bowling by Pakistan—especially Fatima Sana (3/30) and Sadia Iqbal (2/24)—kept Scotland in check.
In reply, Pakistan Women got off to a steady start but lost a few quick wickets. Then came the match-winning partnership as Muneeba Ali scored a classy 71 off 72 and Aliya Riaz delivered a player-of-the-match performance with an unbeaten 68 off 70 balls, guiding Pakistan home in 30.4 overs.
