In the 9th match of HBL Pakistan Super League (PSL) 10, Peshawar Zalmi delivered a powerful batting performance to set a challenging target of 228 runs for Multan Sultans in Rawalpindi.
After winning the toss, Peshawar Zalmi captain Babar Azam opted to bat first. Despite an early hiccup, Zalmi bounced back strongly to post 227/7 in their 20 overs. The top scorers for Zalmi included Tom Kohler-Cadmore with a quickfire 52, Mohammad Haris contributing 45, while Abdul Samad (40), Hussain Talat (37), and Mitch Owen (34) also played crucial cameos. Babar Azam and Saim Ayub failed to make an impact, scoring just 2 runs each.
From the bowling side, David Willey, Michael Bracewell, and Ubaid Shah picked up 2 wickets each, while Iftikhar Ahmed claimed 1 wicket.
Both Peshawar Zalmi and Multan Sultans are yet to secure their first win in PSL 10, which makes this clash even more critical. Currently, Islamabad United leads the points table with 6 points, followed by Lahore Qalandars with 4 points.
Can Multan Sultans chase down this massive target and register their first win of the season? Stay tuned!
